We are performing an atomic-scale analysis of the energetics of the cathode (e.g., Li- and Mn-rich layered structure cathode) to understand thermodynamic stability depends on crystal structure and composition.
The ultimate goal of this project is to optimize the high voltage, long lifespan, and superior mechanical stability in designing advanced cathode materials for the next-generation energy source.
